The place where you: Go to spy on your crush, get bombarded with ads and waste more time than you’ll ever be comfortable talking about.
That’s all nice and all…but have you ever considered how to make money with Facebook? Is there a way to do it?
Hint: Of course there is! ?
I made my first Thousand Dollars Online Ever…using one of the seven strategies i’ll be talking to you about in this post, so…instead of wasting time, reading about who said what to whom…you can use this monster of a platform, to make money.
Sound like a plan?
In this post, we’ll go over, 7 of the most badass ways to make money online with Facebook, without paying Mark Zuckerberg a single cent. Let’s go!
Facebook Marketplace is Facebook’s version of eBay! Here, you can add products that you own to a listing, and whenever you find an interested buyer, they will reach out to you and you can make magic happen.
You’ll be pleasantly surprised at just how fast you’re able to sell stuff that you have laying around your house, that you no longer need, like tables, chairs, old video game consoles, televisions, radios and pretty much anything else you think you can turn into some quick cash.
Since it’s already integrated inside of the Facebook app, you can comminucate inside and don’t really need to leave the platform. Also, you don’t need to pray to god that the person you’re meeting up with isn’t a serial killer or anything, since you’ll be able to look at his or her facebook profile… so that’s also a good thing. 🙂
Once inside the marketplace you can see all of the different products that are available for sale within your own neighborhood or area, and all you have to do is list up your product on the marketplace, put a price on it, and start accepting bids from other people.
You will definitely need to negotiate with the people who are willing to buy your products, so make sure to over price your product a bit, so that if you need to make a discount you still hit your target price (wink wink).
2. Affiliate Marketing
Don’t have any products of your own to sell? Sell other people’s products with affiliate marketing. If you don’t know what affiliate marketing is, it’s basically where you sell Are The Middleman between a product and a consumer, and you get a commission or a cut of the profits.
This is my personal favorite way of making money online, and to do this successfully you will need to find a product to promote that is good and that you’ll feel comfortable recommending to other people.
For this, i’d suggest you go to the website ClickBank where you can sign up for free and you can choose from a variety of different products and from dozens of different niches. I have a complete guide on how to do Clickbank For Beginners, in this blog, if you want to check it out later on.
After creating your account you can grab your affiliate link from inside your dashboard and to promote it, you can go into Facebook groups related to that topic join them, and whenever you see an opportunity to offer the product or service you’re affiliated with, you can post a link to it.
This has to be done carefully. You actually want to give a very helpful valuable answer or a tip and only then, post a link to the product you’re recommending. You want to help out that person or people and not look too salesy, so as to not be seen as a spammer and end up getting kicked out of the group or even banned.
Alternatively, you can send direct messages to people inside of those groups who you think might benefit from the product you have to sell, or also leave a comment indicating that if they want to know a bit more about “x” topic, that they reach out to you through peronal messages, so as to not get in trouble with the group moderators.
3. Create A Facebook Group
Hard to find a group good enough to make money with or getting clicked out or not getting accepted? Create your own!
Recently, Facebook has shown that it’s giving higher priority to groups in general. Fan pages are practically dead, since Facebook wants you to advertise to get exposure, and so groups are a great way to go about making some money with Facebook. ?
How? Well, instead of creating it to be a part of the discussion, you can create it, in the hopes of monitizing the group.
To do this, start your own group and start adding people that are interested in a specific topic. You don’t have to add a ton of people, only enough to get the conversation started and Facebook will promote groups that are highly interactive, organically for you.
Once the group is big enough, you can start promoting and selling your own products or someone elses, inside.
For example, you could created a group for poodle lovers. You could then fill up the group with some content at first so that it’s not empty, and then, you can go into other poodle lover groups and recommend people to join your group. You can get people to sign up to your group by giving them something for free, for example.
Once the group has a couple of members that are commenting, sharing and interacting, you could run contests, giveaways, you could sell poodle clothing or dog toys or whatever you want, and since Facebook loves engaged groups it’ll push out the notifications to allow more people to see your posts, more often as well as show notifications a lot more to already established members.
4. Running Ads On Facebook (for others!)
Another absolutely awesome way to make money online with Facebook, for free, is creating your own social media marketing agency (SMMA) and running Facebook ads for local businesses with their own advertising budget.
SMMA was a huge hit back in 2018, however it’s still not saturated and it’s one of the easiest, and most profitable ways to make money with the Facebook platform.
What you would essentially do, is find local businesses that are in need of more clients (aka all of them) and you would offer to run their ads or set them up for them, either for a fixed cost or on a monthly retainer, and you can learn how to run Facebook ads in a weekend.
This might seem hard to do, but it’s actually very easy: There are industries, where the contact information of 1 potential customer, could be worth thousands of dollars for a business (like a dentist or a real estate agent), and if you can generate that potential customer information, for only a few bucks with the help of Facebook ads (which your client will be paying for) then you are super in demand and highly valuable!
By charging a few hundred to one thousand dollars, per month, per client…this is a really awesome way to start stacking up a nice monthly “paycheck”. Cha-Ching! ?
5. Manage Facebook Accounts (Support)
Managing social media accounts like Facebook fan pages and Facebook groups, is extremely easy to do, and you can do it both full-time and part-time for some extra money, and you don’t really need any experience to do it either.
Usually you can find social media managing jobs on places like Upwork.com, however another maybe less competitive and less demanding way to do it is, for example, to be active in a group where the owner is just too busy to handle it and where you can offer your support.
I’ve seen this happen multiple times, non stop. Person A creates the group, it gets absolutely filled with comments and people asking thosands of questions. Person “B”, starts answering everyone’s questions and being really helpful inside of the group. And suddenly person “B” becomes a group admin.
This is something that is extremely easy to do, and you don’t need any skills at all. All you have to do is be interested in the topic, be helpful, and the Facebook group owner will be more than likely to pay you some money for you to take care of the group for him or her. Win-win
Inside of this same category, you could include creating posts, images, giveaways and contests, as well as managing facebook fan pages and posting and replying on those too.
6. Giveaways And Contests
Just as you can be the one creating the giveaways, another great way to make money online with Facebook for free is to be part of some contests and giveaways that some of the companies, Facebook groups and Facebook fan pages put together from time to time.
Most of them are free and will require you to start following, liking or sharing something from that specific page, and generally it only takes a few minutes of your time and it’s a very fun way to make a few bucks here and there.
Every giveaway and contest is different but usually you always have a chance to win either some Amazon gift cards, a new phone, some free tickets or just some extra cash.
Giveaways and contests can sometimes feel like a waste of time, but don’t be too fast to brush them off! Personally, i was invovled in a short 48 hour constest in which the winner got sent $250 over to their paypal account, and all they did was post some ads on some facebook groups. Pretty simple stuff!
7. Use Your Profile
This is probably the most fun way of making money with facebook… at least for me it is. ?
If used correctly you can transform your profile into a selling machine. You can do this by building an engaged following, that knows likes and trusts you, in a specific niche and then run your own giveaways, promotions or sell your own products or someone elses products to that audience through your profile.
To do this, all you have to do, is befriend people that have similar interests to yours. Easy.
Say you LOVE camping. What you could do, is go into groups and fan pages of people who love camping too, and get involved in the conversation. Make some friends! Facebook is a great place to make some good digital buddies.
Now, once you’ve befriended some people who are interested in the same stuff you like, created a following that is highly engaged, and if you do everything correctly, the amount of people that your personal profile can reach can be pretty huge.
Here’s a picture of some of the results that I get on my own profile utilizing these strategies.
Alright there you have it, those were some of the top ways on how to make money online with Facebook without paying for anything. Nada. Zero.
What did you think of the methods? What was your favourite one? Which one will you be trying out?
Let me know in the comments 😀
