GrooveFunnels is all the craze. It’s a brand new all-in-one digital marketing platform, that will take the world by storm.
I’ve been fervently writing and promoting it (and also bought it myself) because of how great it is. But why get GrooveFunnels? What does GrooveFunnels replace? Which tools should you let go, to be able to hop on the Groove train?
In this article, I’ll be going over some of the tools and other services that GrooveFunnels pretty much makes obsolete (okay, not totally, but still) so as to hopefully have you picking it up and trying it out yourself.
By the way, you also have the chance of signing up for a FREE GrooveFunnels account. It’ll give 3 of the multiple tools that the product has to offer (light version of the page builder, the sales tool and the affiliate tool).
So What Does GrooveFunnels Replace?
Here is a little list of the different solutions and tools that GrooveFunnels will be able to replace. Later on throughout this article, I’ll be going over everything in more detail.
- Website Builders and Funnel Builders (GroovePages): Wix, Weebly, SuareSpace, ClickFunnels, Thrive Architect, LeadPages, etc
- Hosting Services (Free GrooveFunnel Base Account): GoDaddy, Namecheap, Hostgator, BlueHost, etc.
- Blogging CMS (GrooveBlog): WordPress, Joomla, Magento, etc.
- Webinar Hosting Solution (GrooveWebinar): EverWebinar, WebinarJam, GotoWebinar, etc.
- Email Marketing Autoresponders(GrooveMail): Getresponse, Aweber, ConstantContact, Sendgrid, Sendlane, ConvertKit, SendinBlue, etc.
- Membership Site Builder (GrooveMember): Teachable, Thinkific, Eloomi, etc.

- Digital And Physical Product Sales Platform (GrooveSell, GrooveKart): Shopify, Woocommerce, MemberPress, Teachable, etc.
- All In One Solutions: Builderall, Kartra, etc.
Website Builders And Funnel Builders
GrooveFunnels, has the power to create complete websites (yes…websites) from scratch or by using the premade templates which it comes with.
This means that GrooveFunnels (or more specifically Groovepages) can replace website builders like Wix.com and Squarespace and in some cases, even some of the SEO services that you might be paying to help you rank better in the searches or that help you with your loading speeds (you should test it out and see if there is actually any difference).
If you’re using your pages to create sales pages and sales funnels, then you can replace expensive funnel building softwares like ClickFunnels or other options like LeadPages or something a bit more simple like Thrive Architect.
When it comes to hosting services, GrooveFunnels has you covered here too.
You see, GrooveFunnels allows you to get FREE hosting, for up to 3 custom domains on the FREE plan.
This is unheard of, and most of the website builders that offer free trials (some of which we mentioned before) will not give you a custom domain hosting, on their free plans, and will instead require you to upgrade.
Wix doesn’t do it, WordPress doesn’t do it, ClickFunnels doesn’t do it, Builderall doesn’t do it, neither does Squarespace, Kartra, Weebly…or any other website builder for that matter.
This means that GrooveFunnels can replace your hosting companies! Thus, it replaces sites like GoDaddy, HostGator, BlueHost or Namecheap, for up to 3 websites. If you’d like to get custom domains, then you’d have to upgrade to any one of the paid GrooveFunnels plans.
Note: Even though GrooveFunnels does replace your hosting (yes, even on the free plan) you’ll still need to register your domain name on one of the domain name registrars like Bluehost. You’ll later be able to point your domain towards the GrooveFunnels nameservers, and take it from there.
GrooveFunnels will also try to have you replace the WordPress.com content management system (CMS) or blog builder (which I’m not sure they’ll be able to do, but I’m excited to hear all about it) with its new tool GrooveBlog.
They’ve mentioned that GrooveBlog, will not be as powerful as WordPress, but they’ll be working on creating a plugin-style database, and will try to make it as similar and with as many of the same features as possible, so as to get you off of WordPress.
This tool is still in development, as of the writing of this article, and it’s going to be coming out to the public, late 2020.
Webinar Hosting Solution
GrooveFunnels will have its own live and automated Webinar hoster, that will allow you to run your own webinar. It’ll be called GrooveWebinar, and will be ready by late 2020.
Unfortunately, and since a majority of the customers that will be using GrooveFunnels, will probably not want to be using the Webinar solution, it’ll only be available on the GrooveFunnels Platinum plan, which will cost $299/month.
However, you can, for a limited time, get access to GrooveFunnels lifetime option, and get every single tool in the platform without having to pay for any monthly fees for it. This is a limited time offer that will be kept available a while after launch. You can check availability for the GrooveFunnels lifetime option, here.
Remember that if you’re already using a webinar platform, you’ll not be able to use GrooveWebinar until it comes out!
Email Marketing Autoresponders
GrooveFunnels has an integrated email autoresponder solution (called GrooveMail) which is a world-class email marketing platform, that allows you to do everything and anything that any one of the other alternatives out there can do…but at a lot cheaper price.
GrooveMail will allow for the usual: Automated sequencing, broadcasting, smart tagging, contact importing and exporting and so on.
The most interesting thing about GrooveMail, is that it will grant you the option to have up to 25,000 contacts, which you can mail for free every day, on any one of the paid plans. This means that, as part of the GrooveFunnels silver plan (which is the cheapest one, at $99/month) you’ll still be able to send 750,000 emails, at the same price.
As such, GrooveMail, at the 25,000 contact limit, will be able to replace softwares like Getresponse (145$/month for that amount), Aweber ($149/month for that amount), Sendlane ($319/month for that same amount), ConvertKit ($199/month) and more, since it’ll cost a lot less.
Also, the team at GrooveDigital has mentioned that for those people who have more than 25,000 contacts, that the price for sending out emails, at that amount, will a third of the price of what you can expect to pay with other automation services.
Of course, GrooveMail replaces your email autoresponder the best, the closer you get to the 25,000 customer list. If you’re working with 1,000 list subscribers, you’re better off using something like Getresponse or Mailchimp.
Alternatively, and if you still have time, you can do what I did and upgrade to the GrooveFunnels lifetime offer.
This will allow you to get the complete GrooveFunnels platform, at a one-time price, which means that you’ll never have to pay monthly subscriptions ever again. This includes the email marketing platform. Think of it as getting a “free trial” that gives you unlimited everything, forever. 😀
Membership Site Builder
If you’re building your own membership sites, where you want to deliver your trainings, teachings, courses and whatnot, GrooveFunnels will be able to do so for you, by using the GrooveMember tool.
GrooveMember, will be available only for paid members of the software, as early as on the lowest GrooveFunnesl plan (Silver) and will cost exactly the same as the most popular plan of the most popular alternative (Teachable Pro plan at $99/month) with the difference that GrooveFunnels will also give you GroovePages Mail, Affiliate, Sale and Video on top of it, for the same price.
Video Hosting Services
If you want to host your own videos on sites other than big sites like Youtube for whatever reason (you want to brand your videos more, or want to keep people in that platform and not on Youtube, or if you simply want to have more freedom to say what you want on your videos without fear of having your account blocked…) then Groove will have a solution for you.
GrooveFunnels will have its own video hosting platform, which will be called GrooveVideo, and which will allow you to do what other services like Wistia or Vimeo would allow you to do, like video embedding, behavioral-based tagging, call to actions, analytics and so on…but for a lot cheaper of a price.
GreooveVideo will be available at the very least within the GrooveFunnels Silver plan, which includeGrooveMember, GroovePages, GrooveMail, GrooveSell and GrooveAffiliate…but that costs the same as the $99/month Wistia plan.
I think it’s obvious, which one is a better deal. Right? 😉
Quiz And Survey Apps
I didn’t know this personally…but survey and quiz softwares and apps, can be pretty darn expensive! We’re talking from a couple of hundred dollars per year, to over a thousand!
I guess it’s for that reason, that these tools will come integrated inside of the GrooveFunnels but starting at the Gold Plan, and will allow you to easily set them up with on your website pages, regardless of whether you’re using GroovePages, or another page builder.
But lets’ be honest, if you’re using GrooveFunnels only for the quiz and survey tools, you’re probably overpaying…you’ll most likely also be using their page builder GroovePages and other tools, since they’ll come included with the plan that has GrooveSurvey and GrooveQuiz anyways.
Calendar And HelpDesk Services
As of the writing of this article, these tools are still under construction, so there is not too much more information to be had, but these will without a doubt, be high-quality and world-class tools.
There has been some rumors that every single tool in the GrooveFunnels platform, will have a “free version” available to it (some already do) but as of right now, this is the best option there is.
Affiliate Marketing Tool And MarketPlace
This option is called GrooveAffiliate (and is currently free as part of the GrooveFunnels base account) and allow you to sign up to promote high converting and high-quality products from the marketplace.
You’ll be able to see commissions, get links, see promotional material, add your bonuses, browse and one-click sign up to promote anything you like, amongst other things. Also, there will be no transactional fees involved (like in the case of these marketplaces) and you won’t need to pay any fees to have your affiliates promote it.
Another very cool thing, is that you’ll be able to automatically send bonuses to your customers, through email, and won’t have to have people send you an email instead.
Digital And Physical Product Sales Platform
GrooveFunnels can replace any one of the online sales platforms or plugins, either for digital products, like in the case of MemberPress or WooCommerce, (or even softwares like Teachable) or physical products like Shopify.com through their own tools GrooveSell (which you can actually get for free, here) and GrooveKart respectively.
GrooveSell will allow for the creation of sales processing features and checkout features (order bumps, discounts, trials and more) and the delivery will be done through email (which you can use GrooveMail for). If you’ll be delivering your product through a membership, you’ll have to use GrooveMember.
By the way, GrooveKart is actually a stand-alone product and is not part of the GrooveFunnels platform, per se. It’s a competitor of Shopify, but is actually much more expensive ($199/month).
However, for the brief amount of time that it will be available after the GrooveFunnels launch, they will be including the GrooveKart app as part of their lifetime membership option. This will allow you to get every tool, but not pay monthly for it. You can check availability for the lifetime deal here.
All In One Solutions
There are some “one for one” straight alternatives to GrooveFunnels out there.
I call these “one for one” because you could, in theory, alternate between GrooveFunnels and that competitor, and, in terms of tools, you wouldn’t see too much of a difference (but in terms of quality and price, you might).
Also, these tools are the most similar to the GrooveFunnels platform, in that they are a compilation of a bunch of other tools, that you would have to get individually.
If you were using Builderall (like I was) you’d probably want to switch boats and get into GrooveFunnels.
GrooveFunnels replaces Builderall, in a sense that it does things better. Plain and simple.
Yes it’s a bit more expensive…but it’s true: You simply can’t compromise on quality.
Listen, I was a Builderall die-hard fan and user too! I promoted Builderall and made quite a bit of money using the platform. Hosted some of my offers there, had some sites going and such…
But if you’ve been with Builderall for a while, you know how painful it can be, that they’re constantly changing. Changing their pricing, changing their layouts, their tools and stuff.
And please don’t get me started on the funnel and page builder. People could not keep up with having to re-learn all of the features of the software over and over again.
I think Builderall was at its peak in 2018, right after launch into the US market…and then they changed their affiliate agreement, twice, the software was all over the place and it just…was kind of a mess.
So if you’re using Builderall, you can replace it with GrooveFunnels.
You might lose out on the magazine builder, mockup studio and social media automation tools…but you’ll probably not miss them and they might even be added to GrooveFunnels anyways.
Kartra is probably the most similar product, that GrooveFunnels can substitute (one for one).
“Why are they so similar?” you might be thinking.
Well…it turns out that the CEO of GrooveFunnels, Mike Filsaime is the former CEO of Kartra too!
This is why so many of the Kartra features are almost toe-to-toe the same as with GrooveFunnels. I’ve also created a GrooveFunnels Vs Kartra review here in case you want to learn more about them individually.
The main difference between them, currently, is the following:
With Kartra, you get charged more, based on the number of leads and custom domains you have (all the way up to $499/month for 50 thousand contacts) and you’re also limited in the number on funnels on the main plan.
With GrooveFunnels you get a set of tools on each plan, but you get unlimited pages on the main plan and will always get 25,000 contacts regardless. As of the writing of this article, you also don’t have the option to pay a yearly subscription for a discount, which you will get with Kartra.
So for example, GrooveFunnels silver won’t have the HelpDesk feature like Kartra…but it’ll have 25,000 contacts, unlimited pages, domains, funnels, and so on.
If you’re already using Kartra, there is not a real reason to switch, unless you want to have a more up to date software (Kartra does look a bit strange, and GrooveFunnels is looking very modern) or if you want to spend less money.
GrooveFunnels has a limited time lifetime membership deal which will allow you to get it for a one-time price. This is like getting Kartra, at a just one price…but without having to pay monthly ever again. This can potentially save you thousands, and even multiple thousands of dollars per year.
GrooveFunnels is an awesome solution for those of you who want to start your own online business and make use of the most revolutionary and highest quality products out there.
GrooveFunnels replaces multiple of the tools that you’ll need to make your online presence be known, and does so at an incredibly cheap price.
Even at the $99/month GrooveFunnels Silver plan, you’ll be getting your moneys worth on only 1 of the tools (and you’ll be getting 5).
The Wistia pro plan costs $99/month, an email autoresponder like GetResponse with 25 thousand contacts, costs $150/month, the best funnel builds rout there (arguable) costs $97-$297/month…
GrooveFunnels gives you all of that and more, for the price of 1 of these. It’s insane value.
